Coming Soon: Oyster Coffee

A new coffee shop is preparing to open in the heart of Sketty, with Oyster Coffee taking over the former Bartram's restaurant premises on Eversley Road.

The business is moving into 87–89 Eversley Road, a familiar location to many locals having previously been home to both Bartram's and Dario's restaurants.

Work is already well underway, with the new Oyster Coffee signage now installed above the shopfront. Refurbishment is also taking place inside, with decorating equipment, furniture and materials visible as the premises are prepared for their next chapter.

The distinctive stained-glass windows and decorative ironwork that have long been features of the building remain visible, while the exterior is being freshened up ahead of the opening.

Oyster Coffee is a relatively new independent coffee business which already has a presence in Mumbles, having opened a café at 66 Newton Road.

The Mumbles location offers speciality coffee alongside a selection of breakfast bowls, toasties and sweet treats, with the business focusing on a relaxed café experience.

Although the full menu for the Sketty premises has yet to be announced, the arrival of Oyster Coffee will bring another independent café to the village's growing food and drink scene.

The new café will join an established collection of independent businesses along Eversley Road and Gower Road, offering residents another place to meet friends, enjoy a coffee or stop for something to eat.

No opening date has yet been announced, but in the meantime, it's good to see another familiar Sketty premises being given a new lease of life!
