Gorsedd Stones Celebration

The Gorsedd Century Celebrations was held on on Saturday, surrounded by sunshine, music and community spirit.
A huge thank you to Mererid Hopwood, Archdruid of the National Eisteddfod of Wales, for her powerful and poetic speech on the richness of Welsh culture and language. It was a joy to celebrate with the Lord Mayor of Swansea, Councillor Cheryl Philpott, and so many others who champion community and heritage in our city.
From the thunderous rhythms of Taiko Abertawe, to the sea-inspired harmonies of the Shanty Jacks, and the uplifting voices of the Brynmill Community Choir, the day was truly one to remember. A big thank-you to ‘Super’ Sue Davies and the Friends of Singleton Park for organising such a wonderful event and for caring so deeply about the park we’re so lucky to have on our doorstep.
